Jess- Team Leader/Support/Groomer
Hi!
My name is Jess! I'm a mum to 3 human babies and 1 furbaby Bindi our Shoodle!
Three quick fun facts about me!
1. I was a midwife for 5 years.
2. I love baking, I really enjoy the creative aspect of it and find it a relaxing outlet.
3. I do photography as a side hustle.
I am so excited to be apart of this team and business and to build a wonderful culture for our Clear Sky Clients and your fur babies.
I love supporting our clients to achieve their goals.
I can't wait to meet you and your furry friend in our salon.
Chelsea- Groomer
My names Chelsea and I'm a dog mum to my two Chihuahuas Rasko (Mr.Sko) and Tinkerbelle (Stinky) and my standard Poodle Pippa.
Three quick fun facts about me!
1. I love my dogs so much that I have a tattoo of them!
2. I have just started roller skating as a hobby!
3. I'm also known as a bit of a crazy plant lady! I love nurturing my plant babies!
I've now been in the grooming industry for 5 years. I'm dedicated and passionate about providing a safe and comfortable environment for all dogs to be groomed in. I want your dog to leave not only looking their best but also feeling calm about the experience they have had with us. I have trained with a few local groomers as well as an intensive one on one hands on training with master groomer Hannah Kelly from Sydney Dog Grooming School. The aspects of being a part of this industry that I most enjoy are the constant challenges and open ended education. I enjoy striving for better and to continue to upskill. It brings me joy and I feel rewarded everyday when owners see their best friends fresh new cut! I'm so excited to meet you when you visit us!
I work in the salon full time Monday- Friday.
Kellie- Groomer
My name is Kellie, I moved to Newcastle last year and live with my daughter and husband.
Three quick fun facts about me!
1. I am from Melbourne where I worked as an Interior Decorator, my own style is cosy, relaxed & earthy.
2. I can speak Swedish having lived in Sweden for 3 years.
3. I love everything Italian, especially coffee, wine and food - lucky for me I have my own Italian chef (husband)!
I love working with animals, but I am also a people person. I really enjoy working with the participants of Clear Sky Australia and supporting them to achieve their goals, the resilience they show throughout the program is incredible.
I am also a big believer in educating our customers on the best way to maintain their pets at home, not all dogs like to be pampered and groomed so offering advice and sharing our knowledge is just as important.
I look forward to taking care of your pet and chatting with you in the salon!
I work Monday - Thursday in the salon.
Katie- Support Worker
Hi there! My name is Katie and I absolutely love being the support worker here at Clear Paws.
Three quick fun facts about me:
1. I have a whippet named Scooby-doo and he is totally CRAZY!!!
2. The beach is my favourite place and swimming is one of my favourite activities.
3. I love doing arts and crafts as I find them fun and relaxing.
As a support worker I am passionate about creating a safe and educational experience for all of my participants. I believe it is important to create an environment where individuals feel welcomed, supported and appreciated. I have been a support worker for 6 years now and Iabsolutely adore my job. I began in the industry as a student learning support officer teacher’s aide). I also have a certificate II in animal studies and experience as a kennel attendant and a bather/washer. I am currently studying my certificate IV in community services and I am enjoying every moment of it. Dog’s are my favourite animal and I am dedicated to creating a safe and pleasant grooming experience for your pretty pooches!
You will find me in the salon on a Monday, Thursday and Friday.
Sophie- Dog Washer/Salon Assistant
Hey! I’m Sophie I’m 21 and completed the NDIS workplace program through Clear Paws before being employed as a salon assistant and bather.
Three quick fun facts about me:
1. I have 5 pets.
2. I like to sing and dance at home.
3. I enjoy doing diamond dots as a hobby.
I have been working in my family’s construction business now for 2 years and I have been learning clerical administration.
I enjoy working in the animal industry as they’re cute, friendly and every shift is different. The dogs all greet me with a waggly tail. I love working at Clear Paws with all your dogs and caring for them. You will find me in the salon on a Tuesday.
